Northwest Persia (Iran), c. 334 x 215 cm, second half of the 19th century, luxurious silk carpet in a rare large format, woven as a unique piece on silk warp with cotton weft threads and symmetrical silk knots with c. 400,000 kts/sqm, probably as a unique piece, original sides and ends with short weaving finish, heavy, cloth-like feel, excellent condition with minor signs of wear, no repairs can be detected, fringes slightly damaged.
